How to choose hockey skates

• Fit profile: Bauer Supreme and Vapor skates run narrower through the forefoot for a snug, low-volume fit; CCM Tacks and Ribcor use a wider, more anatomical fit; True's Catalyst and Custom lines build around a precision heel lock. Check the width (D-Regular vs EE-Wide) listed on each product.
• Size: Hockey skates typically run 1–1.5 sizes smaller than street shoe size, and sizing varies by brand. Use the Senior, Intermediate, Junior, and Youth filters below as a starting point for age and skill level.
• Boot stiffness: Entry-level and recreational boots flex more for new skaters; Pro and Elite-tier boots hold their shape and return more energy for stronger, more advanced players.
