The East Van Baseball League was established in 2013. The league started as a friendly rivalry between two teams who just wanted to play long pants, wood bat, sandlot style baseball - the East Van Black Sox and the Vancouver Isotopes.
As word spread about the grassroots game these teams were playing, the league quickly expanded and recruiting players was quick.
The league now boasts a league of 9 teams who play out of three East Van Parks, including the original league park, Strathcona Park, Sunrise Park and Gordon Park.
