The core shell of the Reactor 7000 is constructed of Bauer’s 3D anaformable lightweight tech mesh boot, offering a great supportive base that will fully form to the foot through the heat molding process. This shell is complimented by an exceptionally soft comfort foam throughout the ankle and foot of the skate.
Other features of the Reactor 7000 skate include an extended felt tongue with insert as well as comfort foam under the footbed.
Taking note from Henrik Lundqvist of the NHL’s New York Rangers, Bauer has given goalies a new option for strapping their pad. On the heel of the boot, a nylon loop has been added, resulting in the pad sitting higher on the skate for better coverage and agility. Of course, this is simply an included option; traditional style boot strapping can always still be achieved.
To finish off the skate, Bauer has mounted the boot on their ever-popular reinforced Vertexx 2.0 cowling with 4mm runner, providing a stable base with exceptional attack angles for quick, precise movements around the crease.
